The virtual Promoting Inclusion in Economic Research (PIER) 2022 conference hosted by Williams College will be on Saturday, April 30, 2022. We will bring undergraduate students from a range of institutions together on Zoom to share their research and engage in networking and mentoring activities.

The conference aims to promote economic research by and professional development of undergraduate students whose identities or life experiences are under-represented in the field of economics.

The call for abstracts will be posted here by the end of February with a submission deadline of March 25; see Important Dates for more information on the timeline. We welcome submissions of economic research abstracts from all currently enrolled undergraduates. Later, we may invite students who will not be presenting to attend (you must register to attend, but registration is free).

PIER is an incarnation of the conference we ran in 2017, 2018, and 2019 (WiER - Women in Economic Research). Starting in 2021 we expanded the the conference’s goal to one of promoting a diverse set of voices, across a broad range of dimensions, in the field of economics.
