  • Use the discussion tool in D2L/LIVE to create private journals you share with for your students.

2:00-2:50: The Flipped Classroom Using MediaSpace - Dr. Vijay Arora - Breiseth 106

  • The flipped classroom is an instructional strategy in which the typical lecture and homework elements of a course are reversed. Instructional material are prepared using PowerPoints or animations then delivered online using D2L/LIVE system. MediaSpace allows one to record lectures either on PowerPoints or WebCam that can be uploaded to D2L for students to watch before coming to the classroom for mentoring and discussion. In a flipped classroom, cyberspace becomes the classroom, online team discussions add value to learning, face to face encounters demonstrate problem solving, and engagement in research with noteworthy scholars develops andragogic zephyr.
