Why Use The ASQ Developmental Screening Tool?
Screening young children is an effective, efficient way for professionals to check a child’s development, help parents celebrate their child’s milestones and know what to look for next, and determine whether follow-up steps are needed. It’s also an essential first step toward identifying children with delays or disorders in the critical early years, before they start school.
Early identification of social-emotional challenges can make all the difference to a young child. The proof is undeniable: the earlier a behavioral concern is identified, the greater the chance a child has for reaching his or her full potential in life. Accurately identifying behavior through the ASQ Screenings can pave the way for next steps like further assessment, specialized intervention, or ongoing monitoring to help children reach their fullest potential during their most formative early years.
The success of the ASQ Screenings lies in its parent-centric approach and inherent ease-of-use, which is a combination that has made it the most widely used developmental screener across the globe.
