Metals

Note: This class is offerred on alternate years and will next be available in the 2022/23 school year.

In metals, students will use a variety of techniques to form and manipulate metals, including but not exclusive to etching, casting, enameling, embossing, piercing and cutting. Students will create decorative as well as functional pieces including jewelry and sculpture. Safety precautions will be covered and strictly enforced. This course includes a mandatory field trip where they will have the chance to see and experience what they have learned in a real-world setting, and all students will participate in creating a digital portfolio and will present their work at the semester showcase.
