Description: LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) is a professional development course that bridges deep, meaningful research about the science of reading into classroom success. Teachers will gain practical strategies to use regardless of the curriculum or program currently in place. This PD incorporates text, online, and face-to-face processing in structural literacy. Books and online access are FREE.
LETRS requires four (4) face-to-face meetings. You do not have to have work completed before meetings; you can complete the reading and the modules at your own pace. However, each meeting will cover the information for each Unit. You will also be able to complete the Bridge to Practice activities when you return to school in the fall. Your module and ability to finish the training will close one year after it opens.
