William Crotty is a 3L at Wake Forest Law, originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. As President, he engages outside community members and campus partners to promote ILS, international legal career opportunities, and all fundraising efforts for the International Law Society.
I majored in Spanish and Spanish fluency in college, and worked in Spain for three months, which stemmed my interest in international law. I also love to travel and spend time abroad, and have been to over 30 countries across 6 continents.
International law is a field that is only growing, and I wanted to ensure that students at Wake Law knew of all the international law offerings and had a place to develop their interest in international law.
I had an international law internship lined up with a Mexican-based corporation, but it was canceled due to COVID-19. Because of that, I ended up spending my 1L summer as a litigation intern in Greensboro. Last summer I worked in Charlotte at Garfinkel Immigration Law Firm doing employment-based and family-based immigration. I'll also be joining them after graduation.
Outside of school I enjoy golfing, spending time outdoors, and following my favorite sports teams.
