Mike Amato is a 3L at Wake Forest Law, originally from Simsbury, Connecticut. As Vice President, he directly assists the President in promoting ILS, fundraising activities, and promoting international career opportunities.
I'm interested in international law because i want to go into business litigation. I feel that not only knowing how other legal systems and cultures differ from our own, but also how international laws affect domestic and international transactions, will serve me well.
I enjoyed serving on the board in the same position last year, where I saw the group as up-and-coming. Because of that, I wanted continue building the foundation that existed before my time at Wake.
1L summer, I worked as a Remote Legal Research Intern for an estate and business planning firm. I also worked with fellow 2L's on a COVID-19 pro bono project for Professors Parks, Wright, and Shapiro. 2L summer, I worked for Saxe Doernberger & Vita out of Trumball, CT.
Outside of school, I enjoy lifting, reading fiction and non-fiction, and watching movies!
