Winston-Salem's Digitized Oral Histories: Academic and Museum Collaborations
Tuesday, July 14, 2:00-2:45 pm ET
How can students contribute to and learn from digitized oral history collections? How can museums make local histories accessible and educate residents about the city's past? This joint presentation offers an overview of recent community oral history projects, collaborative university-museum efforts to preserve and index interviews, and models that demonstrate the value of this type of work to researchers, classes, and others.
