Joining the PDC

The Professional Development Council (PDC) is a district wide committee of teachers and administrators who help assess the PD needs of the district and determine the professional development courses which will be offered. Professional Development courses are open to all Westwood Public Schools staff. If you are interested in joining the PDC, please contact Angela Wilson, Professional Development Coordinator (awilson@westwood.k12.ma.us).

Teaching a PD Course

Course proposals are solicited each spring for the following school year. We encourage WPS educators to share their expertise with their colleagues by proposing, developing, and instructing a course. Courses may be offered in 1, 2, or 3-credit increments. Instructors are compensated at the contractual rate of $90/contact hour ($60/contact hour for co-instructors).
