Westwood Public Schools sponsors a variety of courses for educators in support of the district's PD goals. Courses are led by WPS faculty, staff, and administration. Participants may earn incremental credit toward contractual lane changes.
1 Increment Credit = 10 PDPS
2 Increment Credits = 20 PDPS
3 Increment Credits =30 PDPS
Throughout the 2025-2026 school year, WPS is proud to offer 16 PD Courses for a variety of grade levels and subject areas. Courses can be found below, as well as here.
Click here to register for a 2025-2026 course. Course participants do not need to submit a Request for Course Credit for district-sponsored courses. Credits will automatically be applied at the conclusion of the course.
We invite all Westwood educators to apply to teach a PD course. The application window opens late Winter/Ealry spring for the following academic year (late June-2026-early June 2027).
Teaching a PD course is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work with colleagues across our district. Courses may be taught individually or co-taught, for 1, 2, or 3 incremental Westwood credits (10 hours PDP per credit).
Instructors are compensated at the contractual rate
$90/hour individual [$900 for a 1-Credit course or $1800 or a 2-Credit course or $2700 for a 3-Credit course],
$60/hour co-taught [$600 for a 1-Credit course or $1200 or a 2-Credit course or $1800 for a 3-Credit course])
Prep time is not compensated
Receive the same incremental credits if the course is being taught for the first time.
