Summer Watering and Weeding
Tools and Supplies
Our garden tools, gloves, and seeds are stored in the Outdoor Classroom shed.
If there is available space in the garden during your week, please feel free to plant something! Simply use a popsicle stick to create a plant label so that the next garden helpers will know what you've planted.
Watering
The spigot is at the front of the building.
Nozzles and sprinklers can be found in the shed.

Weeding
Weeds can be dumped in any of the compost bins.
We have an invasive species in the Outdoor Classroom! Growing around the perimeter of the Outdoor Classroom and in front of the school, Black Swallow-Wort is one of two species of swallow-wort that are considered invasive in Massachusetts. It is a threat to native plant species, but it also serves as a threat to the monarch butterfly, a native animal species. If you find Black Swallow-Wort, please remove it and be sure to place it in the trash instead of the compost.
