Greenbush Elementary School is located at 127 Greenbush Road, West Warwick, RI.  We are one of three elementary schools in the district.  Our elementary school is comprised of kindergarten through grade four students.  We currently have a student population of approximately 470 students.

Greenbush Elementary School provides a rigorous academic program that allows all students to grow academically and socially.  Within our school we offer co-taught classrooms which includes regular and special education teachers who work together to provide grade level curriculum tailored to meet all students unique and individual learning styles.

We have continued in the adoption of “PBIS,”  Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports.  This program is focused upon building a positive school climate and accentuates our school rules which includes; being respectful, responsible and safe.   The focus of the program is to reinforce positive choices through a decision making framework that based upon research and best practice.  The district has also adopted the Second Step program to address social emotional competencies.  This program focuses on the CASEL Standards and focuses on skills for learning, empathy, emotional management and problem solving skills.  This program will be implemented school wide beginning in October.

Our school is successful because of the partnerships that exist with our Parent Teacher Association.  Parents, faculty and local community members work together to foster and enhance our school environment.  We also are lucky to have both the Foster Grandparent Program and community mentors in the building as added student support.

Finally, Greenbush School is committed to the professional development of future administrators, teachers, counselors and school psychologists.  We partner with the Rhode Island Higher Education community which includes, the University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College and Providence College.
