About TRI-M Music Honor SocietyTM

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international Music Honor Society for high school students that motivates and recognizes music achievement and works to promote music education and community work. It is operated by NAfME (The National Association for Music Education).

Our Chapter:

The primary goals of the Tri-M Honor society are to foster interest in the music program and to provide additional opportunities for personal musical growth. The society is run almost entirely by a group of student board members selected by the chapter advisor, including two Co-Presidents, Vice President, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer, Event Coordinator, and Secretary. Active participation is expected of all members.

Tri-M Chapter members will:

  • Meet at least once a month, Additional meetings scheduled for specific events

  • Perform 10 hours of music related school and community service

  • Enhance their school community with music-related activities, performances and experiences

  • Attend two additional concerts or performance events per year

  • Act as a role model for music students in their community

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is involved with…

  • Fundraising for and through music

  • Assisting with concerts and musical performances

  • Developing, planning, and executing musical initiatives in WHS

  • Actively seeking to increase music involvement in their school
