About WHS Disc Golf

History

The original concept for Wildcat Woods began as a June Academy workshop in 2017. Over the next 4 years, the course was extended to include 12 temporary baskets and natural tee pads. In 2021, thanks to the vision and generosity of WEEFC, permanent baskets and materials for tee pads and signs were purchased and installed.

Currently, the course is maintained and managed by Chris Fehl and the WHS Disc Golf Club.

Poison Ivy: You don't have to itch...

I used to get poison ivy in the worst way. Once I changed how I washed my hands and arms after being around poison ivy, I've actually had very little rash. Think about poison ivy as if it is a grease. It is the oils from the plant that make us blister and itch. Start with soap but no water. Dish soap is the best but hand soap will work, too. Cover your arms and hands with soap and don't forget about between your fingers. Use paper towels to wipe off the soap as if you were trying to get grease off your skin. Don't use water yet. Only after you have wiped all the soap off with dry paper towels will you lather up again with soap and this time rinse with water. This works!
