I saw Claude Monet's paintings in Paris this summer. I was amazed by the size of them and how they wrapped around the walls. I think the size of the paintings and detail were really interesting. There are so many details yet it looks simple and "clean"
This is a photo I took in London one summer. I love the colors in the picture and it reminds me of being with my friends and exploring the city. I think it would be interesting to paint something like this.
I really like the painting because how abstract it is but you can still make out different shapes. I like the contrasting colors and the brush strokes make the different parts stand out.

I really like the simplicity of this piece. Something about it is really interesting to me and I would like to explore more abstract paintings like this. I like different brush strokes and the neutral colors.
This painting kind of creeps me out. The face is strange and the colors are very bland but I think it is intriguing. I think it is important to explore art that makes you uncomfortable though.
I love the colors of the painting and it give me a very calm, happy vibe. It reminds me of summer or vacation. I like the simple brush strokes and how the colors are vibrant and pastel.

I think that crazy fashion and different model poses are really interesting and inspiring. I like how clothes themselves are a type of art and a way of expression and the extravagence especially in high fashion. I like the challenge of painting people and being able to add my own changes to a painting of fashion.
I find most of my inspiration through photos of places that I have visited. I like how each picture brings a unique memory that is personal to me. Looking at each photo reminds me of how I was feeling and what that day was like. For example in the picture of above I was looking over Hanuma Bay in Hawaii. It was a trip I went on with one of my best friends and I remember how excited we were to go snorkeling. The waves were quiet and although it doesn't look like it it was a little windy and cold.
Abstract art really intrigues me. I like how it seems effortless and yet can express so much emotion. I think the color choices and movement of the artists paint is really fun to look at. Colors are really inspiring to me and I love pastels but also harsh colors like red and black. I also like abstract art because you can interpret it how you want and it may be completely different than how someone else looks at the piece.
This is a photo I took of in the Virgin Islands. The light colors and smooth blurring of the clouds in the background give the photo a sense of calmness and happiness.
This is a photo from Colorado. The mood of this poicture is a little darker and more mysterious and their are very sharp edges and a harsh contrast from dark green to white colors.
This picture is from Spain. The picture has a beautiful expression to it as the water is sparkling and is made of two very pretty shades of blue.
This is a picture from Costa Rica. The lush, vibrant green trees and rushing water give it a very cheerful feel to it.
While experiencing city life- what sights, sounds are capture your attention?
The landscape of the city had beautiful fall colors such as various greens, blues and reds. In the commons there were sounds of chirping birds and leaves in the wind. Going up and down the streets there was loud construction and cars honking and going fast.
What type of emotion or mood translate?
Boston common gave me a calming feel because of the swaying trees, swans, and the soft waves in the water. The streets had more of a stressful mood with the loud sounds, crowds of people, and tall buildings.
