There are 5 components of fitness: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition.

Cardiovascular endurance is the ability of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels to supply oxygen and nutrients to the muscles during long periods of exercise.
Some examples of cardiovascular endurance exercises are: running, dancing, swimming and bicycling.

Muscular strength is the maximum amount of force a muscle can produce in a single effort.
Some examples of muscular strength are: push-ups, weight lifting and sit-ups.

Muscular endurance is the ability of a muscle to repeatedly exert force against resistance.
Performing multiple repetitions of an exercise is a form of muscular endurance, such as running and swimming.

Flexibility is the ability to bend a move the joints through the full range of motion.
Some examples of flexibility exercises are: stretching, yoga and pilates.

Body composition is the high ratio of lean tissue to fat tissue in the body.

Skill-related fitness is the basic abilities that help people perform skills.
The 6 components of skill-related fitness are: agility, balance, coordination, power, reaction time, and speed.

Agility is the ability to change directions quickly.
An example of agility in team sports is responding quickly to movements of the other players and the ball. In individual sports, you have to respond quickly to the position of the ball. Hopscotch is a great way to help with your agility too!!!
