For this challenge you will be asked to create a new Google Logo (called a Google Doodle) that could be used on their "homepage." These unique logos celebrate everything from Inventions, to National Ice Cream Days, to much larger Worldwide Events. Many people look forward to the next creative, unique yet informative, Google Doodle design (especially when they are animated)!
A logo is a graphic mark, emblem, symbol or stylized name used to identify a company, organization, product, or brand. It may take the form of an abstract design (AT&T, Sprint), figurative design (Apple, Ferrari), or it may be designed as a stylized version of the company's name (Coca Cola, Sony, Lego, Disney).

You are welcomed to Google's homepage by its classic, well known logo. There it sits, just above the search box, ready to help you reach information that you are looking for. From time to time the classic logo is replaced with a unique, intriguing Google Doodle.
The Google Doodle was created in order to celebrate or remember Holidays, Important People or Events that are connected to that day(s) on the calendar. Many people enjoy these unique designs because: (#1) The logo is transformed into a new piece of art and (#2) You are likely going to learn about something new or be reminded about something important that has happened (or is happening) on that day.
To begin this challenge, you will have to think about and decide upon a Holiday, Important Person/People or Event that took place somewhere in time. To help narrow your choices, first select one of the three topics mentioned above.
After you choose the main topic, you can begin to narrow down your options by using Google to do a little research on the holiday, the person/people, the event or the specific date.
I was going to create a design that uses tires/wheels in the place of the O's (of the Google Logo). I could develop a design which could be used to celebrate popular races; The Daytona 500, The Indianapolis 500, The Dakar Rally, The Tour de France. Instead, I could create a different design and celebrate the creator of the first produced tire; October 31, 1888 by John Boyd Dunlop. A third option could be to raise awareness for Road Safety Week; November 16th - 22nd, 2020, with a design that focuses on tires, seat belts, windshield wipers, head lights and traffic signs.
So by taking one idea, I was able to develop plans for three different designs that were all related to that one idea.
This step is quite enjoyable because you get to modify/change the existing Google logo into a customized, unique design.
Some artists use metamorphosis and turn the letters into pictures using the letters shape. Other artists place the word "Google" in an area of the design while making the letters "tie in" to the theme of the design.
Here are some examples of how artists use "Metamorphosis" and "Theme" to create a unique design.

The final steps to this challenge is to add some fine details to the design -and- adding color (color is optional - using any materials that you have available to you).
Some students prefer to keep their designs black and white; they use ink pens or fine point Sharpies/markers to go over the lines and add some value (shading and line thickness). Some students shade (light to dark) various zones using just their pencil to do this. Other students prefer full color and some of those students, use a combination of all the above.
