Unit 1: La Familia
Hola familias,
8th graders are starting off the year learning vocabulary for family members, and how to introduce them to others using possessive adjectives. Students will complete the following assignments:
-A short story on Google Slides
-The 'Kitipun' dance challenge
-A family tree
Benchmark 1 will be the week of September 25. Please have your student study all materials on Google Classroom as well as the following resources:

Next week, we will be learning how to communicate basic needs in class using useful phrases. We will also continue practicing expectations/routines and setting goals for Spanish this year. We are starting to master how to introduce ourselves in 8th grade and are focused on goal setting this week. We will also be discussing the importance of Spanish in our everyday lives and how we can use Spanish in school or in our future careers. Be sure to ask your student about their individual goals are for the year!
