Entering SA in Managebac

Step One: Enter the Activity Information

Login to ManageBac.

Click on “IB Manager” --> “SA”

Click on “Add SA Activity” (on the upper right-hand corner).

Enter the information about your SA activity:

  • Activity Name
  • Type: Service as Action
  • Start and End Dates
  • Supervisor Name and Title

If you are entering a level three or four service experience that connects to a unit, be sure to enter the name and e-mail of the teacher for that unit as the supervisor.

  • Targeted learning outcome (select one)
  • Description of Service Experience
  • Level of Service Experience
  • Organization and Aims (If your service was with an organization or group, identify the name of the organization and how it aims to help the community.)

After you have entered all information, click “Add SA Activity”.

Step Two: Enter your reflection (after service activity is completed)

Login to ManageBac.

Click on “IB Manager” --> “SA”

Click on the service activity you completed.

Click on the “Reflections and Evidence” tab on the right-hand side.

Write your reflection in the journal and check the box for the outcome.

Refer to the "Reflections" page for guidance. Remember, the content of your reflection is taken into consideration when awarding points for the service experience.

Click on “Add Reflections and Evidence”.

How will I know how many points I have earned?

Your Service as Action Adviser will post a note indicating how many points you have earned.

How many times do I enter an ongoing service experience (level two)?

You may enter the experience once each semester.
