In the final year of the MYP, each student must carry out an individual project on a topic that is of particular interest to the student. The project is carried out within a global context and results in a clearly defined product or outcome. As a culmination of the student’s experience in MYP, the intention of the Personal Project is for the student to demonstrate his or her ability to initiate, manage, and direct their own inquiry. Each student is expected to spend approximately 25 hours on their personal project and initiate and attend meetings with his or her designated faculty supervisor.
