Synopsis: Interested in learning how to tablet weave (also called card weave) on an inkle loom? In this class, we will be covering what tablet weaving is, how it works, how to warp with cards, and how to weave threaded-in patterns on an inkle loom. The pattern we will be weaving is the Oseberg Narrow band (link to pattern below). Participants are also welcome to bring their own pattern or choose a pattern from books I will have available. If you are bringing or selecting your own pattern, I suggest you choose a pattern with 10 or fewer cards and contact me before the class.
Synopsis: This class covers speed warping on an Inkle loom using tablets/cards. We will cover how to speed warp a tablet woven band on an Inkle Loom. The main focus of the class will be on how to use continuous speed warping to warp a loom for Double Face weaving.
Synopsis: During this class we will cover what double face weaving is, how to read the patterns, and how to weave the patterns on an inkle loom. This class will be focused on the weaving aspect, so please have your loom warped before the class or if offered go to my class “Tablet Weaving: Continuous Speed-Warping Inkle Loom Edition”. We will start with basic geometric shapes and progress to more complex patterns, including alphabets for the adventurous.
Synopsis: During this class, I will be discussing and demonstrating what tablet weaving is, how it works, how to warp with cards, and how to weave threaded-in patterns on an inkle loom. More specifically I will be demonstrating with the Oseberg Narrow Band and time allowing, weaving! The intent for this class is to demonstrate the process and to help answer any burning (or twisting!) questions about tablet weaving.
