The Order of the Boar of the West is given to members of the populace who, by their many, varied, and long-term contributions to the Kingdom of the West, are so part of our culture that they are threads in the warp and weft of the fabric of the Kingdom. These contributions rise above those of Pillars of the West, Western Roll of Honor, The Ruxton (Cynagua) and the Order of the Silver Molet (Closed). This award shall be awarded no more than once per Reign - It is STRONGLY recommended that the award be given near the END of the reign.
The token of this order is a boar’s tusk given from the Crown to the Recipient. In addition The Order of the Boar of the West carries an augmentation of arms so that all will know the high esteem in which the Sovereign of the West holds the recipient. When granted, the individual may augment their arms with Per pale vert and Or, a cross botanny counterchanged, a tribute to the premiere of the Order.

The Order of the Queen's Maintenance is given to honor the one or two persons a Queen feels were vital to her ability to reign -- and it is not required or even expected that there will be an entrant to this Order each reign. This is not meant to be a "super-Cypher"; it is meant to recognize those whose service is more substantial and more personal. This is an Order; people can receive this honor only once. The token of this award is individualized (and is preferably constructed or commissioned by the Queen bestowing the honor), but always includes a teardrop-shape as a substantial part of the design.

This award is given to those who have been thoughtful and helpful personally to the Queen. When Queen Lorna created this award, the reasoning was that while the Queen's Order of Grace was given for graceful and courteous behavior, the Queen's Cypher was given for personal service to the Queen during Her reign. The QC recipients may wear a medallion which is personalized from Queen to Queen, normally in the shape of her initials. It is quite possible for a person to be given several QCs. (NOTE: This is a relatively long listing, as most Queens have given anywhere from 3 to 20 (and maybe more) of these, and the West has three reigns a year ... In addition, the list may include recipients of similar awards from other Kingdoms if those recipients are resident in The West at this time.) Sometimes abbreviated: QC
