The Order of the Sgain Dubh

This award is for being, like the Sgain Dubh itself, a Tool of last resort. This is for the person who is doing a number of small things, without needing to be asked, when they need to be done. The token is a small sheathed dagger presented by the Baron and Baroness.

Autocrat's Token

This award, which can be received many times, is given by the Baron and Baroness to those who have autocratted or been an event steward of an event. The tokens are chosen by the Baron and Baroness.

The Order of the Claymore

This award is given for substantial contributions to the barony over an extended period of time. The token may be of any medium but will have a depiction of a claymore on a white chape in either red, gold, or black; depending on the reason the Order of the Claymore was bestowed.

Sable -- was created to recognize those who excel in the combat and provide protection to these lands in times of war. The color black is symbolic of the raven; the bird of war.

Gules -- was created to recognize those who give service unto the Barony and the people who reside there. The color red is symbolic of blood freely given by such an individual in support of the Barony of Selviergard.

Or -- was created to recognize those who excel in the Arts and Sciences. The color gold is symbolic of treasures crafted by such an individual.

Swords Saltire, Order of the

Given to members of the Order of the Claymore that have proven their expertise and excellence instructing and educating others in their craft. The token is Crossed Claymores on appropriate colored Circle:  Sable = Combat / Martial Skills; Gules = Service; Or = Arts and Sciences.

The Order of the Laughing Lyre

Given to members of the populace who have distinguished themselves through the performing arts (song/dance/storytelling/etc.). The token is an Argent Lyre on a Baronial Cord.

Avgjørende Kryssild, Order of the

Avgjørende Kryssild meaning "Decisive Volley". For members of the Populace who have distinguished themselves through their skill at thrown and siege weapons. The token is a gold catapult on a circle of the baronial colors (per fess gules and sable), presented as a pendant, favor, or badge.

Bended Bow, Order of the

Given to members of the populace who have distinguished themselves through their skill in archery. The token is a Bow suspended on a Baronial cord.

The Order of Dreki Hjarta

The Order of the Dreki Hjarta may be given by the Coronet of Selviergard to individuals who have shown the worthy qualities of courtesy and courtly behavior with such consistency that they are to be recognized as an example of gallantry to all. The token is a heart shaped pendant on a Baronial cord.

Dirk, Order of the

This award is for noticeable and ongoing service to the Barony, especially by youth.The token is a pendant of a dagger on a baronial cord.

The Order of the Forget-Me-Not

The Order of the Forget-Me-Not is given for dedicated service that benefits the Barony of Selviergard by those who reside outside our lands. The token is a Forget-Me-Not flower, made of metal and lacquered in azure and argent.

Friends of Selviergard

Given to non-residents who have proven themselves helpful to the Barony. The token for this is a pendant of a Drakkar Longship.

Cyfarwyddiaid, Company of the

Given to members of the Order of the Laughing Lyre that have proven their expertise and excellence instructing and educating others in their craft. The token is a Musical note on Black/Red Circle on a Blue band.

Maoim-Sneachda, Company of the

Maoim-Sneachda meaning "Avalanche". Given to members of the Order of the Avgjørende Kryssild that have proven their expertise and excellence instructing and educating others in their craft. The token is a gold catapult on a circle of the baronial colors (per fess gules and sable) with a gold flaming missile, presented as a pendant, favor, or badge.

Flaming Bodkin, Company of the

Given to members of the Order of the Bended Bow that have proven their expertise and excellence instructing and educating others in their craft. The token is a Flaming Bodkin on Circle of Baronial Colors.

Baroness' Token

Personal recognition presented by the Baroness (or consort) to those who have been helpful to her during her reign. The token shall be uniquely designed by the Baroness (Consort) bestowing it.

Baronial Counselor

This shall be given at the pleasure of the Coronet to those individuals who have provided outstanding personal service to the Barony during Their tenure as Coronet. It may only be given once for each reigning Baron / Baroness. The token is an armband or vambrace with the Selviergard drakkar on it in baronial colors and the name(s) or device(s) of the granting Coronet.

Warlord of Selviergard

The Warlord of Selviergard is the Heavy Weapons victor from the fighters engaging in an annual tournament. This tenure lasts one year. The token is the Axe of Peace, to be replaced by the Warlord's Great Axe/Halbard.

During the tenure of Colum and Vicana it was determined that there was some confusion about some titles -- these have all been combined into this recognition. These include:

Heavy Weapons Champion, Warlord -- both listed as "Ancient" to try to avoid more confusion.

Falcon (Closed)

Consort of the Warlord or the Baroness' Champion. The token is pendant of a falcon (to be passed on to the next Falcon at the end of their year in office).

Baroness' Champion

The Baroness' Champion is chosen by the consort (or sovereign if there is no consort) from the winners of the Warlord of Selviergard, Huntsman of Selviergard, Defender of Selviergard, Thrown Weapon Champion, Bard of Selviergard, and Arts and Sciences Champion for their exceptional chivalry and prowess and being an example of the qualities by the Baroness that were demonstrated in the tournaments and other activities of the Champion in the Barony, and serve the Baroness for one year. The token is a Hood or Mantle with a symbol of the Barony on it, to be passed on to the next champion.

It should be noted that prior to August of 2023, the Baroness' Champion was the victor of a tournament, or chosen from the martial combatants (Heavy, Rapier ...) by the Baroness. These will appear as "(Ancient)", as the recognition was changed by Baron Colum and Baroness Vicana.

Arts and Sciences Champion

The Arts an Sciences Champion is the victor of a competition held annual to determine the next champion. The champion serves for one year. The token is a cape or mantle designed to be embellished by each recipient.

Defender of Selviergard

The Defender of Selviergard is the rapier tournament victor, from the fighters engaged in an annual tournament to determine this title, they serve for one year. The token is a Fireweed Buckler.

In August, 2024, Colum and Vicana as Baron and Baroness combined the past recognitions of Baroness' Rapier Champion, Rapier Champion of Selviergard, and the Offensive Cup into this recognition.

Huntsman of Selviergard

The Huntsman of Selviergard is the Archery Tournament victor, engaging in an annual tournament to determine this title for one year. The token is a decorated belt with a silver bow upon it.

In the tenure of Column and Vicana as Baron and Baroness, August, 2024, the previous Archery Champion title was combined with the Huntsman title, and will be shown in this list.

Thrown Weapon Champion

The Thrown Weapon Champion of Selviergard is the victor of an annual tournament to determine this title, they serve for one year. The token is a throwing axe.

The Bardic Champion of Selviergard, the victor in an annual competition to determine the new Bard. The Bard holds this title for one year. The token is the Bardic Horn of Selviergard.
