Strategic Plan
2023-2028

What is a Strategic Plan?

Strategic Plan:  A Strategic Plan is a roadmap that the District creates to define our values and priorities, specify our action steps, and allocate our resources in order to achieve our stated goals and objectives over the next 5 years. Simply put, the process for developing a Strategic Plan involved a collection of district data and mass stakeholder feedback that was used by a core planning team (Strategic Planning Council) who synthesized the feedback into Goals and Objectives.  The Board approved the Goals and Objectives at its meeting on June 27, 2023.  The administration then crafted the accompanying action plan over the summer.

The 2023-2028 Strategic Plan, with Year 1 action items, was reviewed and approved by the Board at its meeting on October 17, 2023.

Data Collection:  District data was gathered and shared with our facilitators while stakeholder feedback was collected via surveys and stakeholder feedback sessions. We held in-person stakeholder sessions on October 26 for staff, on November 2 for parents/guardians and members of the community, and on November 3 for students in grades 9-12.  Surveys were shared with staff, students, parents/guardians, and members of the community from November 1-18.

Strategic Planning Council (SPC):  The SPC consisted of 30+ staff and administrative representatives from around the district, selected by the leadership of each collective bargaining unit, who worked with the Board of Education to develop a plan that reflects the wishes, priorities, needs, and values of the community based on the collection of data described above.
