A:  The Westfield Public School District currently does not offer full day kindergarten, but we are on track to provide a FDK program across the district, estimated to begin in the 2028-2029 school year.   Westfield voters approved a $225-million bond referendum in April 2025 which includes funding to build the additional classrooms necessary at our elementary schools to support a FDK program.  Visit our Bright Futures portal for both background and continued progress updates.

In the meantime, our youngest learners are well served at the Lincoln Early Childhood Center by a half day kindergarten program, in which state educational standards are fulfilled, as well as an integrated pre-kindergarten program.  Lincoln School also houses the Kindergarten Wrap program, which offers an enrichment to the kindergarten day.  Kindergarten Wrap is a tuition-based, lottery program.  Visit our Student Registration page to register your child.  To learn more about the Lincoln Early Childhood Center, please enjoy this video brochure.
