Kindergarten Wrap 

The Lincoln Early Childhood Center is fortunate to supplement the Kindergarten half-day program with the Wrap Program.  The Wrap Program is designed to extend the school day with enrichment activities including science experiments, math games, reading and writing centers, outdoor play, and free choice time. Wrap students remain at Lincoln School for lunch, which is provided from home. Students are frequently brought outdoors for play and exploration, so it is important they are appropriately dressed for the weather.  Lincoln School’s Wrap Coordinators send home monthly newsletters recapping fun learning activities as well as providing notice of upcoming events.

 

Families will have the opportunity to request a spot in the tuition-based Lincoln School Wrap Program upon successful completion of the Kindergarten registration process for the 2024-2025 school year, including the submission of all required medical forms, no later than Friday, February 23, 2024 prior to 4 p.m. Please take note of the following important dates:

Friday, February 23, 2024

All Kindergarten registration paperwork is due no later than 4 p.m. All forms, including the Immunization Record, Physical Examination, Health History Form, and Health Department Consent, must be uploaded to the Open Registration portal by that time in order to receive a Wrap application. 


Monday, February 26, 2024

Applications for the Wrap Program will be sent directly from Lincoln School to families who have successfully completed the Kindergarten registration process as indicated above.  


Friday, March 1, 2024
A lottery system will be held if more families are interested than the number of spots available. The Wrap Program application must be completed and received by Friday, March 1, 2024 prior to 8 a.m. in order to enter the lottery.

 

Friday, March 1, 2024

A random lottery drawing for enrollment in the Wrap Program for the 2024-2025 school year will be held. Families will be notified of the results via email.


Friday, March 8, 2024

A $400 nonrefundable deposit is due to the Business Office at the Westfield Board of Education prior to 4 p.m. on Friday March 8, 2024. This non-refundable deposit will be used as the June 2025 tuition payment. Payment may be made by personal check payable to the Westfield Board of Education (write your child’s name and “Wrap Deposit 2024-2025” in the memo) or through the MySchoolBucks payment portal.   *Note for MySchoolBucks users: Please do not click “add a student”; add your child’s name next to “student name”.


Families who do not pay the deposit prior to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 will forfeit their spot in the Wrap Program. Forfeited spots will be randomly offered to families on the waitlist.  


Families who have not secured a spot in the Wrap Program via the lottery system will be notified. A waitlist will be created for those families who do not initially secure enrollment via the lottery system.  Families will be contacted if their child's name is randomly selected off the waitlist and will be enrolled in the Wrap Program as spots become available throughout the spring and summer.
