Lessons have begun!
Some students will receive identical materials, such as a blue bag and music instrument case. It is encouraged to leave this bag at home, or clearly label it so that it is not mistakenly taken by another student.
The week of Monday, September 15th
Lesson schedules will be distributed by your music teacher via email and Google Classroom.
Lessons occur during the school day, on a rotating, pull-out schedule.
Students will receive one, 30-minute group lesson each week.
Lesson schedules are shared via email, and can be found on here on this website and Google Classroom.
Leave your music stand at home. We have music stands to use at school!
Students should come prepared each week with their instrument, music book, and instrument accessories.
Music stands can stay home for personal practice. Music stands are typically provided by the music vendor with an instrument rental.
No! Your instrument arrives at school with you, and leaves with you to take home to play!
Those who love to play-- practice! And those who practice-- love to play!
Students should report to their lesson to inform their teacher about their preparedness level for that day. Students will gain information on how to be successful for your next lesson.
Students are expected to practice their instruments at home.
In preparation for concerts, rehearsals will be held in the morning before school on specific dates.
We are excited to return to a more typical concert season! Dates are our Department Website, and in the respective Handbook of each program.
Experienced players will have a Winter and Spring performance. Beginners' debut performance is held in the Spring.
We always encourage students to seek private instruction. Some music programs held over the summer will help prepare your child for band/orchestra in the fall. You can also visit this resource for private instructors in the area.
