Module 1 Apply Assessment: Real Estate Agents for the 13 Colonies

Students will create a Google Presentation in Google Slides that reflects the skills mentioned in this Module.

You will pick one of the 13 Colonies and represent that region. Your job is to bring people to your colony from England.

Create a Google Slide Presentation for this activity. This presentation should persuade people to settle your colony because it fits their needs and ambitions.

Students must include:

• Colonies and Dates: What is the name of your COLONY, its region (New England, Middle or Southern colony) and its founding date?
• History of your Colony: What are reasons the colony was founded? Identify and explain long term causes or triggers that led to the founding of your colony.
• Important Individuals: Identify two or more individuals or groups and explain how their roles/actions influenced the founding and shaping of the colony.
• Differing Viewpoints: Choose 2 differing groups and provide a detailed summary of why they are settling in America.
• Economics: How did the colony become economically feasible? (Link to PLD skills)
• Religion: What is the religion and how does the lifestyle change according to the religion that your colony follows. What RELIGION can people expect to have accepted if they move to your region?
• Government: What or who governs your colony?
