HIS 2. Perspectives: I can analyze and evaluate the motives, actions, values, and attitudes of individuals and groups to understand the significance of events and developments from a range of perspectives.

• I can analyze complex and interacting factors that influenced the perspectives of people during different historical eras. (2.1)
• I can evaluate contemporary perspectives on past events or related current events or issues that still impact our world today. (2.3)

HIS 4. Causation and Argumentation: I can explain and analyze the causes and effects of events and developments in the modern world.

• I can distinguish between long-term causes and triggering events in developing a historical argument. (4.2)
• I can critique the appropriateness of the historical sources used in a secondary interpretation. (4.4)
