How do you spend the 168 hours you have in a week? Do you use your time effectively, or do you get hooked into social media or video games for hours on end? The following exercise will assist you in evaluating how you spend your time and where you can make adjustments in order to stay organized and on-task.
Using one of the following free apps, keep track of how you spend your time for one week. Remember that you need to include such items as eating, running errands, watching television, and of course, any interactions you have on social media. There are multiple free apps available to assist you in this project, and the following are some of the more user friendly ones out there; however, you can go "old school" and do it manually if you choose. At the end of one week, be prepared to present your findings along with a written reflection on what is working for you as well as specific areas for improvement (think necessary vs. not necessary). Remember, the more honest you are with your tracking, the better you will become at managing your time wisely.
