It's always a challenge when we read or hear about the tragedies happening in our neighborhood, state, country & world. With more and more children having access to digital media they are being exposed to even more of the harsh reality that some humans are crewel, dangerous, & hateful. War, hate crimes, racial injustice, and school shootings are heartbreaking and cause all of us, especially our children, to have strong emotions which can feel very scary and out of control. We, as their caregivers (parents, teachers, family friends) need to be able to offer support to help our children walk through the difficult news (even when it's not happening in our immediate neighborhood). Here are some resources for adults to read so that you can feel more equipped to support your own little ones.
