SMART Notebook 17 is the newest version of SMART Notebook that integrates with SMART interactive boards. The software has come a long way since it's debut and it's easy to miss new tools and features. This course will be a refresher on the basic elements, adapting methods to engage students, and exploration of new SMART Notebook 17 features.

Who will benefit from this workshop?

This workshop will benefit anyone who has already been using SMART Notebook and is familiar with the core basics, expert or beginner! This course will review the core SMART Notebook items but focus more on engagement tricks and new features. Some of these new features integrate with our 1:1 program (iPads) and BYOL program (laptops) - think formative assessment, instant polling, idea/thought collection.

Is this a good course for someone new to SMART Notebook?

This course will be designed for participants that are looking to get a refresher and explore new features. Therefore my expectations are that you are familiar with the basics and are not brand new to SMART Notebook and SMART Interactive Boards. Previous experience - expert to beginner is fine!

How will the hours be split up?

There will be an hour of pre-work online, then the face-to-face session, followed up with 2 hour of online work.
