Description of Workshop

In this workshop you will build your very own laptop using Kano Computers. They are designed for primary students to build their own computer in a lego-like kit. After building the computer you will be able to boot it up and have some fun with the utilities loaded on it. This workshop will allow teachers to meet a variety of the new Digital Literacy and Computer Science Standards in a really fun way.

Who will benefit from this workshop?

Teachers in grades K-8 will benefit as it addresses many standards in the new DLCS curriculum framework.

Will I be able to get a class set of computer Kits to try out with my students?

Yes, there are 10 Kano Computer kits available and 12 Kano Light Kits available for check out. It would make a great activity during STEM week.
