Second graders will be immersed in many different types of music. Students will start to develop their music literacy, both tonal and rhythmic. We will focus on DO-RE-MI-SO-LA songs and patterns. Grade 2 students begin to read and play basic rhythmic patterns, and learn to improvise. They continue with more advanced folk dancing, and learn to locate the beginnings of phrases in the music for gained independence.
