Tournaments

Below are the tournaments held at Wellesley! Both the Whips and Tails travel and compete in more tournaments during the competitive spring season.

Wellesley Ultimate Tournament (WUT)

WUT usually takes place at the end of every fall semester. The tournament is aimed towards exposing new players to a fun, competitive tournament environment while playing with those of similar skill levels. While people of all skill levels are welcome to play in WUT, the tournament is geared towards introducing newer players to what Ultimate tournaments feel like. WUT is composed of Boston area teams and lasts one day.

MillyFest

MillyFest is an annual one-day hat tournament that takes place every April or May at Wellesley. The tournament is held in honor of Molly Thompson '04 (1982-2001), or "Milly," a whiptail who died of suicide in the summer of 2001. All profits from tournament participation and a raffle are donated to a suicide prevention organization, the Samaritans of Boston. Whiptail Teams and individuals (including alums) of all skill levels are welcome to play at MillyFest. MillyFest is closed out by the Whiptails with nickname story sharing and a potluck.

No Man's Land (NML)

NML is a spirit-driven tournament that takes place every April at Wellesley, lasting over the course of one day. The tournament is comprised entirely of B teams and is generally focused on getting playing time in, developing as a team, and having fun!
