Kahoot! - Teachers can create these for students to play. Students can create Kahoots, but your ability to share them may be limited if you are under 13.
Quizizz - Create multiple choice only individually timed questions, players can play randomized quizzes at different times on their own devices, no projector needed.
Google Forms (w/Quiz option) - Turn a google form into a multiple choice or short answer quiz, no time limits, students answer at their own pace, no projector needed.
Quizlet - With Quizlet you can make your very own sets of online flashcards. Then you can use these sets in a variety of ways to quiz yourself on any number of topics. Feel free to utilize the millions of sets already produced by other members of the site or to create your own with pictures and words that are specific to your needs.
EdPuzzle - Ask your teacher to assign a "Project." You will then be able to create your own EdPuzzle quiz and submit it to your teacher, who can re-post it to the class.
Gimkit* - Students are not allowed to create gimkits, but ask your teacher to create a "KitCollab" and you can submit questions to his/her game.
Remember, a Kahoot! is played live with the questions displayed from the owner's device and the players each pressing colors on their own device.
Teachers may also assign Kahoots as a challenge to complete on your own time, not live in the classroom.
Before you start, make a plan for what will go into your Kahoot!
What questions will you ask?
How will you come up with good wrong answers?
How will players be expected to know the answers to your content? Will you add any reference materials for them to use, or incorporate pictures and video into the Kahoot!
When you have a plan, start building your game!
Go to Kahoot.com and select Log In or Sign Up.
Be sure to sign in with Google and use your school google account.
If you are asked what type of account you are creating, be sure to select STUDENT
Click Create to start building a new Kahoot or click Library to find and edit a Kahoot you have already started.
When finished, click PLAY and start a classic game, then share the code with whoever you would like to have play.
Finish your kahoot.
Click PLAY
Make sure everyone can see your screen.
Connect your device to a projector or TV.
Share the code with your players.
Once everyone has signed in, start the game
Choose a Kahoot! game. Click "Play".
Select "Assign" as the way to play.
Customize the timer, personalized learning, randomize, friendly nickname, etc.
Copy the link and turn it in to Canvas.
Be sure you have the screencastify extension installed. screencastify.com If it's your first time using screencastify, install the extension, sign in with Google, Allow the camera and microphone.
If you don't see the orange arrow icon on your chrome toolbar
click the puzzle piece on your chrome toolbar
make sure screencastify is enabled and the pushpin is highlighted blue so it will show on your toolbar
Make sure you have the screencastify extension on your chrome toolbar (orange arrow icon)
Find your kahoot on the kahoot library page,. Click Edit.
Click the screencastify icon and select your settings to screencast your kahoot.
Record yourself showing your teacher each of the slides in your your kahoot.(Use Preview or Edit mode)
Click on the screencastify icon and click on the stop button.
A window will pop up with your video. Name your video and click Copy Shareable Link.
Turn in your link to Canvas.

How to see your player data:
1. Go to quizizz.com
2. Click Log In
3. Sign in with Google
4. Click Create a New Quiz
5. Add all your questions - be sure to indicate correct answers
6. When finished, you can click share, then copy and paste URL to host a quiz. Just click Assign Homework and set a due date to get a self-paced code.
7. Don't forget to click download results to generate a spreadsheet of student data.
1. Go to forms.google.com
2. Click BLANK QUIZ to start creating your quiz.
3. Add your questions. For each question be sure to click ANSWER KEY to set the point value and correct answer.
4. When finished, click the SEND button to get a link or send the form by email.
5. To access data from the quiz: Click Responses, then click green ion to generate spreadsheet. Get a shareable link to share with teacher.

1. Add a short answer question to the top of your quiz. The question should be: Quiz Code. Make sure it is a required question.
2. On your quiz code question, click the 3 dots and select Data Validation.
Choose "Number" "Equal to" and enter a specific number that will be your quiz code

Choose "Text" "Contains" and enter a code that includes numbers and letters.
