Edublogs is the only true blogging site approved at our school. Your teacher may make a blog for you, or you can create your own.
Go to edublogs.org
Create an account using your school username ( ex: wwizard26) and password
Enter your school email, and a title for your blog page.
Set the address to be your username (ex: wwizard26)
Click to agree to the privacy policies and that you are not a robot.
Then, click sign up.
Click Posts
Select Add New
Enter your title and type your post
You can choose to add images with the Add Media button, or skip this step
Click Preview to open a Preview of your blog in a new tab.
When you are happy with your post, return to your editing tab, and click Publish
To see your blog, click the name of your blog at the top of the page.
You can copy the URL at the top and share it with teachers, family and friends.
Who are you writing for? Even if you are only sharing with your teacher, invent an imaginary audience in your mind to make your writing better.
If you can only think of a few things to post, you probably need to thing bigger. For example, instead of a blog on skateboarding equipment, where you might run out of topics really fast, consider a blog on skateboarding in general. Then you can post about equipment, parks, famous skateboarders, etc.
Whether it's once a week, or once a month, blogs with regular posts are most successful.
Add images, video and audio can be a great way to support your blog. In fact some blogs, like art blogs, are more pictures than writing.
