Tips for Blogging

  1. Think about your audience.

Who are you writing for? Even if you are only sharing with your teacher, invent an imaginary audience in your mind to make your writing better.

  1. Create your blog with a broad enough topic.

If you can only think of a few things to post, you probably need to thing bigger. For example, instead of a blog on skateboarding equipment, where you might run out of topics really fast, consider a blog on skateboarding in general. Then you can post about equipment, parks, famous skateboarders, etc.

  1. Create a consistent schedule.

Whether it's once a week, or once a month, blogs with regular posts are most successful.

  1. Use multimedia

Add images, video and audio can be a great way to support your blog. In fact some blogs, like art blogs, are more pictures than writing.
