Canvas is the Learning Management System where all of your teachers keep their digital classroom.
Much (but not necessarily all) of your work will be assigned and submitted here.
Check the agenda on the home page to see what work you need to complete to be on pace with your class.
NOTE: LOG IN WITH THE USERNAME YOU CREATED, NOT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. This is incorrect in the video! Call the school at 686-8210 if you need your account reset.
Log into the Infinite Campus Portal
Students log in to the student portal with your username and password
Parents: log in to the parent portal with the username and password you created. (Contact the front office at 686-8210 if you forgot your username or password.)
Click on Grades
By default you will see the current quarter and grades for any quarter classes.
To see grades for semester classes, click on the quarter in which the class concludes. (Semester classes end in Q2 or Q4)
Click on grades to see more detail about a particular class
Cick on the + next to a category to see individual assignments.
First, log into the Infinite Campus Student Portal
Click on Assignments
Click Missing to see a list of missing graded assignments for all classes.
Find each missing assignment in your Canvas courses. (The grades tab is helpful in finding them.)
If you have questions or need help on a specific assignment, attend your teacher's office hours or contact your teacher.
If the link from your teacher's canvas course doesn't work, go to Google Meet (meet.google.com) and type in your class nickname (can be done from a cell phone if no wifi)
If you get this message: "You're not allowed to start a meeting" your teacher has not opened class yet, wait a couple of minutes and try again.
If you get this message: "You're not allowed to join this meeting"
Make sure you are logged in with your school email (@weldre4.org)
Your teacher may have removed you from the meeting, email the teacher and ask them to invite you in by clicking Add People
If your wifi signal is overwhelmed, Google Meet may drop your meeting,
Check to make sure you are on the right wifi by clicking the time in the bottom right of your chromebook, then checking the wifi settings.(printable instructions)

Make sure you are logged in to your chromebook and email your teacher, they may be able to help you through GoGuardian or make other arrangements.
If all else fails, call 686-8020 to report the problem.
Make sure you have allowed chrome to access your camera and microphone. Watch this video to troubleshoot camera and microphone problems on your chromebook.
Quick fix: Try turning on backgrounds in Google Meet, that may override settings and turn your camera on!
click the 3 dots in the bottom right --> settings --> Change background
If your wifi signal is weak, Google Meet may disable your camera and block the video from your classmates, check to make sure you are on the right wifi by clicking the time in the bottom right of your chromebook, then checking the wifi settings. (step-by-step instructions) (video tutorial)
Another program may be using your camera. Make sure you close any other programs (like WeVideo) that may be using your camera
Try restarting your chromebook
If all else fails, call 686-8020 to report the problem.
In some cases your teacher may give you a link directly to a pear deck presentation.
You may also go to joinpd.com and enter your teacher's code to join.
