Last week, our second grade classrooms celebrated the last day of Summer by making ice cream!
School Attendance on October 2
Each year, public schools across the state of Colorado are required to participate in the “October Student Count” to determine the official number of students enrolled in each school, which impacts funding. The count will occur on Monday, Oct. 2, this year. We're asking for your help in making sure your student attends school on Monday, Oct. 2. While next Monday is an important day, consistent school attendance is beneficial every day. Research shows that students who consistently miss school are at risk of lower academic achievement, failure, and even dropping out of school altogether.
Character Counts!!!
Each month here at Tozer, we will focus on one of the Six Pillars of Character. These traits promote building our student's character skills and a positive school culture.
This month we will celebrate TRUSTWORTHINESS.
Students can help celebrate our trait of the month by wearing blue on Tuesday, October 3rd for a BLUE-OUT!

Meet the Counselors
Tozer is so fortunate to have two counselors this year! Mary Mumby is at Tozer full time. Marissa Ewell is supporting both Tozer and Mountain View. She is at Tozer on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday mornings. We are so thankful for both our counselors!
As a reminder, the East parking lot is reserved for busses at pick up AND drop off.
Please avoid parking in this area during these times.

EMPOWER Applications Open Through September 29
We’re excited to announce that a new EMPOWER cohort will begin October 26. This community engagement program provides an in-depth and behind-the-scenes look at various facets of our district. At seven monthly sessions, you’ll have an opportunity to learn about a different topic, experience demonstrations or tours from students and staff, and engage in dialogue and Q&As. District Awarded Local Food Program Grant
We’re excited to announce we’ve been selected as a recipient of the Local Food Program Grant, a program that connects Colorado food producers with local school districts. We look forward to providing more fresh and wholesome, high quality products for our students this year. Our partners will help us serve up more delicious and tasty local fresh fruits, lettuce, and beans this year. It’s a win-win-win for students, the economy, and our local community. LEARN MORE
