Welcome to the Web Summit Qatar startup community! Before official onboarding kicks off on November 26 we want to make sure you have everything you need to hit the ground running.

Taking some time to prepare these assets now will ensure a seamless exhibition setup and give you a head start on our highly competitive startup activations.

Applications for our startup activations open on  November 26, the day official onboarding begins. On this date, we will share an application form and deadline, should you wish to apply. 

Important: You don't need to do anything now. You will be given all of the information required on November 26. We are sharing some information below in advance in case it helps you to prepare. 

The shortlist of startups selected for PITCH, Startup Showcase and 40 Words will be announced on Wednesday, January 20. Please note, participation in these activations is not a guaranteed part of your ticket package.

PITCH competition

A startup competition that brings together the worldʼs leading early-stage startups for an onstage pitching battle.

What you will be asked to submit:

• A 1-minute self-recorded video pitch describing the problem or need your company solves, your product or service offering, and the benefits to customers.

• A pitch deck - suggested 10 slides

• Written answers to two quick questions:

  1. What problem does your business solve? 

  2. Provide metrics that show the traction of your product or service?

Startup Showcase

Showcase is an opportunity to present your company and vision to attendees, investors and international media.

What you will be asked to submit:

• A 1-minute self-recorded video pitch describing the problem or need your company solves, your product or service offering, and the benefits to customers.

• Written answers to two quick questions:

  1. What problem does your business solve? 

  2. Provide metrics that show the traction of your product or service?

40 Words

Opportunity for startups to record a short video explaining their companyʼs mission, which we then share on stage screens across the Web Summit Qatar venue.

What you will be asked to submit:

• Submit a self recorded video explaining your company's mission in no longer than 25 seconds and containing no more than 40 words. 

Mentor Hours

Pre-scheduled, 45-minute group meetings between rising startups and our high-level attendees.

What to prepare:

• There is nothing to prepare right now; simply register your interest on the application form we will send you on November 26.
