Planning and Creating Final Pieces

Final Pieces

When we go to an Professional Exhibition it is sometimes difficult to understand how an artist got to their final conclusion. Final Pieces are a developmental journey that never take 'one try'. The best final pieces have been tested and tested again with the artist constantly reflecting on what is working well and what isn't. During Photography A-Level, students first of all choose the best imagery from the year and then build final pieces with those images - if you do not use images that are strong, your final piece will automatically be weaker. Check out the slideshow below for some examples of Final Piece planning and execution from A-Level Photography and IB Visual Arts Students.

Every year all GCSE and A-Level Creative Arts students exhibit their work in a large summer exhibition in the hall. Check out the video above from the 2016 Exhibition which shows a plethora of Final Pieces.

Year 12 IB Visual Arts students continued to Exhibit a selection of Final Pieces in the Gatehouse Gallery. Check out the video to below to see a great selection of fully resolved pieces.
