Lightroom tasks
Black and White
I practiced using lightroom, converting some of my images from shoot 2 into black and white and then adjusting the intensity of black and white in different areas of the image through the colours.
Enhancing photographs
I adjusted some of my photographs from shoot 1 on lightroom to enhance the quality of the images and play around more with the lightroom adjustment features.
I think the first photo i edited made a huge difference to the quality of the image, as the original one was quite hazy. I adjusted the contrast and exposure and then enhanced the colour saturation. I also used dehaze slightly and made the texture stand out a little more.

After
The second image only needed slight adjustment, i fixed the spots where the light was too bright and enhance the colours a bit. I also enhanced the texture to make the image a little more detailed. I think i could have reduced the saturation a bit however i think the adjusted image looks a lot better than the original.

This image was also slightly hazy. I made similar adjustments to the other two photographs. I think it made a nice difference of the shadow and light on the wall.

Removing background 'distractions'
I downloaded an image off an online tutorial to practice removing objects from the background without affecting the other things around it. It took me a while to get used to this technique but i think it worked out quite well

Evaluation
Some of the lines are a bit wonky and it took me a while to colour correct/blend in the colour. Other than that this will be a good technique to use and i think i will be able to improve this skill with a little more practice. However i don't think i will be needing to use this skill in many of my photographs
Adding in blocks of colour
I decided to experiment using Mauren Brodbecks style in photoshop. I selected parts of images and used a block out colour. I quite liked this technique ad i will be using Brodbecks style in an upcoming shoot
Artist model inspiration
I used the artist model Mauren Brodbeck as inspiration for this experimentation. She blocks out buildings in a solid and bright colour. I really like her style as it creates an interesting difference in her images, drawing your eyes towards the bright colours. I have used her style in a slightly different way by using masking to add in the images of the frozen flowers in replace of buildings. Examples of her work are below
