It's important to update parents and guardians at home, as well as giving students a head up on our upcoming unit. To complete both, students will be given a letter prior to our unit start to read and bring home. 

This letter allows me to reach out to student/parents/guardians to introduce our new text,  share sensitive topics we will be encountering, and allows for community building. This also provides both parties to feel comfortable reaching out with any questions or concerns.
