Personal Narrative Activities:
Write a story about a time in your life related to one of the pictures below. Try to use all 5 of your senses when telling the story (taste, touch, sight, smell, hearing).
Write a story that begins in the present and then jumps ahead in time to show who you want to be when you grow up. Use a flash-forward to the future, showing what your life is like when you've reached your goals.
Think of a special time in your life and try your best to remember a conversation you had with someone during that moment. Write the lines of dialogue between you and that person, almost as if you were writing a short play. Then, ask a friend or family member to read the “play” with you!
