I am very excited to be teaching sixth grade writing! I love writing because it opens the door to creativity, and when I read students’ work, I feel like I get to step into their world. This is my seventh year teaching at Brinckerhoff, and I have previously taught third and fifth grade. I am looking forward to a year of growing, learning, and writing together in sixth grade!

I completed my Bachelor's degree at Marist College, although I originally began my college studies with a different career path in mind. A few months later, one of my professors told me that I would make an excellent teacher. This encouragement inspired me to switch to education!
A few years later, I earned my Master's degree in literacy from Mount Saint Mary College. One of my favorite takeaways was learning how to make reading and writing lessons meaningful for students.
