Journalism Activities:

Pretend you are a sports journalist and write an article about what happened in a sports game you watched. Make sure you include what type of sport you watched, who was playing in the game, the final score, and what you predict will happen next game.

Pretend you are a talk show host interviewing your favorite celebrity. Write some questions you would ask him or her. Have a friend or family member act as the celebrity to answer your questions. Record their answers.

Think about a recent event in your life. Then, write up a newspaper article describing the event to others. Remember to make it dramatic! For extra fun, gather a few friends and film your own news broadcast about the event!
