About Me

Hello- I am so excited to work with you this quarter! I grew up around Binghamton, NY and came to the Hudson Valley when I began teaching health at VWJH. I graduated summa cum laude with my Bachelor of Science in Health Education (K-12) from SUNY Cortland. I then went on to receive my Masters degree in Adolescence Education (7-12) from Mercy College, and have completed a number of masters level health education courses at Lehman College as well.

I have one scruffy fur-baby named Ollie who I absolutely adore... I actually love all animals, but shhh-don't let him know that!

In my free time, I enjoy staying active and doing anything outdoors whether it be hiking, gardening, kayaking, biking, walking, etc. I truly believe physical activity is some of the best medicine. Occasionally you can find me binge-watching a show, but I like to read more, and am part of a book club with a number of Van Wyck staff. I have played volleyball since middle school, and continue to play in two adult leagues.
