Co-Presidents

Hi, I am Gianna De Nivo and together with Saathu Nagareddy, I am the co-president of the John Jay chapter of FBLA.

I am currently a junior. I joined FBLA as a freshman. It was one of the best decisions I have made in my school career. I have made many new friends and gained valuable skills. I have been to district and state competitions twice and am hoping to attend nationals. I have been a part of Career Day, Blood Drive, Winter Carnival and other volunteer functions. The things I learned by participating and leading these activities are skills that I will hold onto for years to come. As the name implies, FBLA really has helped me develop my ability to lead. Perhaps even more importantly, FBLA has helped me grow as a person.

I am excited about this year of FBLA. I would like to increase our membership, increase the number of awards we win at regional, state, and national competitions, and increase the number of events we do for fundraising. In addition, I am looking forward to having a guest speaker provide our members with insights from the working world.

Outside of FBLA I’m involved with student government, debate club, math honor society and history honor society, and I would like to become an attorney one day. FBLA has been a wonderful opportunity. I have made so many memories already. I am very much looking forward to the new memories that we will make together in 2019-2020.

Hi, I am Saathu Nagareddy. Together with Gianna DeNivo, I am the co-president of the John Jay chapter of FBLA.

I am currently a sophomore. I like being out of my comfort zone. FBLA has really helped me do that by allowing me to take on responsibilities at a young age. In my first year in FBLA as a freshman I got to work at events like our huge Winter Carnival fundraiser, and I got to go to regional, state, and national competitions. These events gave me the opportunity to make new friends and learn more about the real word.

I am honored to be your co-president for the 2019-2020 school year. My goals for this year are to increase the number of people interested in FBLA so they can get an understanding of what it’s like to be in the business world. I’d also like for even more people to participate in our events so they can develop their understanding of leadership and responsibility.

Side-by-side, I hope we can learn together in the coming year and push the limits of what FBLA can acheive as a chapter and as a valued part of the larger community. Beat Mamaroneck!
