Registration for the next school year will begin SOON (Dates TBD). Counselors will meet with every student to help them register for the correct core curriculum. Counselors will meet with classrooms and perform registration in Infinite Campus. We ask students to bring completed Registration Forms to their registration days to ensure classes are chosen correctly. All grades will register at the same time and will be conducted by 2nd period hallway.
If students are not able to register with their group, we will conduct make up sessions at the end of the Registration period.
If you are a current 8th grader in a WCPSS school, you will need to contact your middle school for registration information. If you are going to be a new student at Wakefield High School next year, once you complete the preregistration or enrollment packet, you will receive a course selection sheet. About Advanced Placement (Collegeboard)
Advanced Placement Testing
Students will take the AP test in the Spring of the year they are taking the class. AP testing is the first two weeks of May each year. The calendar is set by CollegeBoard, therefore we cannot adjust the testing schedule. The State of NC pays for the exams through a partnership with NC Advanced Placement Partnership. Because the test is free we encourage all students to take the exam. If a student signs up to take an AP exam, but does not take it, the student may incur a fee.
