All teachers have scheduled office hours after school, which is a great way to get tutoring or ask questions in less populated setting. Office hours should be posted in the classroom and shared with students, but students can always ask individual teachers when their hours are during the week.
The National Honor Society will be offering support in core subject tutoring as. Members will also be available to help students with:
Organizational and study skills
SAT/ACT preparation
College essays and applications
And much more!
NHS Peer Mentoring will be offered during Cougar Paws. Faculty members can refer students to the program, or students can request support using NHS Peer Mentor Form.

Mary Phillips High School: Mary E. Phillips HS, a public WCPSS school, provides small class sizes, flexible scheduling, and a block schedule. This increases the amount of one-on-one instruction between student and teacher. Schools must submit an application to this school on the students behalf.
SCORE Academy: SCORE Academy includes three different locations in Wake County. The four sites are located: West (Crossroads Flex/919-694-8560), South (Garner Station/919-694-7701), East (River Oaks-919-694-8940) and North (Departure Drive/919-694-8635). Schools must submit an application to attend this school, unless the student is a drop out. (See your counselor about specific credit requirements.)
Central Wake High School*: Central Wake is a no-cost public high school option with a non-traditional approach.
Job Corps: an education and job skills/technical training program that helps young people learn a trade, earn a high school diploma or GED, and find and keep a good job.
Tarheel Challenge Academy: a quasi-military program for high school dropouts, or expellees who, if left unguided, could be headed for trouble. The Program concentrates on providing young adults with the discipline and life skills.
